Catholic Womens League
![]() | The Catholic Women’s League (CWL) was founded in 1906 by Margaret Fletcher. We are a national organisation of over 5,000 members, encouraging women to use their skills in charitable and educational work in the service of the Church, at parish, diocesan, national and international levels. The League undertakes a wide range of work, with a particular emphasis on social care and education. |
Activities include:
- Helping with catechetics
- Parish work
- Visiting the sick
- Ecumenism
- Retreats and Days of Recollection
- Study weekends
- Social events
- Supporting other charities e.g. CAFOD, Medaille Trust, Intercare etc.
We are a friendly and lively group of ladies, who meet on the 2nd Monday of the month, in St. Felix Church Hall, usually at 7.30pm. Ladies please come along and see what we do (there will be no pressure to join) and be assured of a warm welcome.
Keep an eye out for more information in the weekly parish newsletter.
